Synthetic resin derived from the polymerization of compounds contained in the vinyl group. In the field of restoration, polyvinyl acetates are essentially used as adhesives (the most noted is commercialized under the name Vinavil). They present noted resistance to aging, good stability in light and are insoluble in water, thus allowing them to be utilized in water emulsions (other than as solutions in organic solvents).
