In restoration, it indicates a heated spatula in diverse forms. It is an electrical tool in which the heat is controlled by a thermostat. It is used: 1) to flatten elevations of paint and bubbles during the fixing of the colours, 2) to meet and to penetrate the wax both for the fixing and for the absorption of the wood to consolidate.
