Converging lens capable of providing a direct and enlarged image of the object positioned between the focal point and the lens itself. It is used for observing and operating on objects or portions of objects of reduced dimension. It is used both in some pictorial techniques (miniature), and in some operations of restoration, in particular for fixing colours and for cleaning. Today, they are on sale as simple lenses, provided with lights on a handle, or mounted onto binoculars.
