The course combines theory and pratical application with the aim of defining the perceptual act and the multiple factors that contribute to it, providing methodological tools to describe the process of manifestation of an object of observation.

The general objective is to provide students with an analytical grid that allows them to interpret an object in its appearance, validating its rendering on a perceptual level. The analysis will be contextualized within a general discourse on visual languages starting from the distinction between expressiveness, creativity, authorship and artistry. 

The course is held by Prof. Dario Orlandi.

Schedule

The course starts on 7 February 2025 and ends on 11 April 2025, every Friday from 18.00 to 20.00 CET for a total of 20 hours.

The course will be held online on the Google Meet platform.

Admissions

The course is open to all applicants interested in exploring the theory of perception and visual languages in any field of application (expressive, creative, authorial, artistic), including as a tool for planning and validating an applied project. Prior experience in the subject is not compulsory.

To attend the course you will need a PC or tablet with a stable internet connection and equipped with camera and microphone.
